Homecoming is working with some of Edinburgh’s major festivals supporting a programme of exciting and inspirational events, commissions and activity. The world’s greatest arts festival will welcome the world in its own inimitable style – set to be a once in a life time experience.
The Fringe sees over 2,000 shows performed by over 20,000 artists in 250 venues across Scotland’s capital city; Edinburgh International Festival will provide an unforgettable three weeks of the very best in international opera, music, theatre and dance; the Book Festival boasts over 800 events taking place in the wonderful setting of Charlotte Square Gardens in the historic heart of Edinburgh, the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature; the Art Festival features UK debuts for leading international artists, the only UK showings of international exhibitions and a wide variety of new and specially created work; while the Royal Military Tattoo presents a host of international performers, military and civilian, set against the magnificent backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.
